Guwahati: The Government of Assam, under the Directorate of Tribal Affairs (Plain), has issued a notice inviting applications from eligible candidates for financial assistance to Scheduled Tribe (ST) students of Assam who have qualified for appearing in the mains examination of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the year 2023-24.

The applications, along with all the relevant documents, must be addressed to the office of the Directorate of Tribal Affairs (Plain), Assam, located at Rukmini Nagar, Dispur Last Gate, Satrinivash Path, Guwahati-6, and should reach the office on or before July 10, 2023.
To be eligible for the financial assistance, candidates must fulfill the following criteria: they must belong to the ST community of Assam and have passed the Civil Services (Preliminary) examination held on May 28, 2023.
All the applications received by the Director, Tribal Affairs (Plain), Assam, will be reviewed by a Selection Committee, which will scrutinize the submissions and approve the list of beneficiaries under the scheme. It is important to note that there is no income limit for availing this benefit, ensuring that deserving ST students can receive the necessary support to pursue their UPSC aspirations.
