Teenage Girl Allegedly Gang-Raped in Shocking Delhi Incident
In a deeply disturbing incident that has rocked the city, a 16-year-old girl was reportedly gang-raped by four individuals in Delhi's Shahbad Dairy area on the evening of June 27.
According to the victim, she was at a park with a friend when the accused individuals approached them and began threatening them. In the chaos that followed, the girl's friend managed to escape, leaving her alone and vulnerable.
Seizing the opportunity, the four attackers physically assaulted the young girl and took turns raping her. They quickly fled the scene, leaving the victim traumatized and in despair. She bravely came forward and filed a complaint with the police.
Swiftly responding to the complaint, the police managed to apprehend three of the four accused, including one who is a juvenile. The two adult suspects have been identified as 19-year-old Bobby and 20-year-old Rahul.
The police have registered a case against the accused under sections 376D (gang rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code, as well as relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The authorities are currently intensifying their search to arrest the remaining accused and the victim's friend who deserted her during the attack. In addition, two other juveniles have been detained under Section 21 of the POCSO Act for failing to report the crime.
This distressing incident has ignited public outrage and raised serious concerns about the safety and protection of women and minors in the city.
