New Delhi: In a significant development, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh of Manipur met with the esteemed Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah, today to provide an update on the prevailing situation in the state. The meeting, held in New Delhi, focused on the efforts made by both the State and Central Governments to control the recent wave of violence in Manipur. CM Singh commended the close supervision of Amit Shah Ji, which has resulted in a significant reduction in violence over the past week. Importantly, there have been no reports of casualties since June 13.
During the meeting, the Hon'ble Union Home Minister assured CM Singh that the central government is committed to restoring normalcy in Manipur. Amit Shah Ji urged the Chief Minister and his administration to intensify their efforts in fostering lasting peace. CM Biren Singh was accompanied by Shri Sambit Swaraj, the BJP National Spokesperson, as well as Shri Maharaja Manipur, a distinguished Member of Parliament from Rajya Sabha, and Shri Th Satyabrata Singh, the Hon'ble Speaker.
