The incident occurred on Friday when Ranjit Urang, the victim, was assaulted by the leopard, leaving him with wounds on his hands and head.
Immediate action was taken, and Ranjit was promptly taken to Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital in Golaghat for medical treatment.
Prior to this incident, on June 7, another tea garden worker was attacked by a prowling leopard in Golaghat district, Assam. The worker, identified as Bubul Mirdha, sustained serious injuries during the encounter.
Sources report that the leopard targeted Bubul while he was working in the tea garden, but fortunately, he managed to escape the predator's clutches, narrowly avoiding a fatal outcome.
Local residents swiftly transported the injured worker to a nearby hospital in critical condition to receive the necessary medical attention.
