Indian Army's Corps Supports Underprivileged Areas in Assam with Humanitarian Aid
DIPHU: The Indian Army's Corps is actively engaged in 'Operation SADBHAVANA', a humanitarian initiative aimed at providing assistance to underprivileged areas in Assam. As part of this endeavor, they have recently contributed to the construction of a school in Khatkati village, specifically designed to cater to visually challenged children.

The project, divided into two phases, has witnessed significant progress. Phase I was successfully completed in 2021, laying the foundation for the subsequent phase. In Phase II, additional classrooms were constructed, along with the necessary administrative facilities, ensuring a conducive learning environment for the students.

During the official handover ceremony, Madhumita Bhagwati, DC of East Karbi Anglong, was present alongside the local community. The Army actively incorporated the aspirations of the locals, receiving heartfelt appreciation from the nearby villagers. The Gaon Bura of Khatkati Village and the President of the United International Mission expressed gratitude to the Army for their unwavering efforts in enhancing the quality of life for physically challenged children in the North East states.
