DIPHU: Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong Districts Showcase Remarkable Improvement in HSLC Results
In a significant turn of events, Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong, two hill districts known for their underperformance in the educational sector, have witnessed a remarkable improvement in the recently announced High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination results. This achievement comes as a pleasant surprise, especially considering the districts' previous struggles and lower rankings in the Gunotsav results.

Karbi Anglong, which has long been grappling with educational challenges, has shown a commendable rise in pass percentage. The district witnessed an impressive leap from a pass percentage of 49.92% in 2022 to an astounding 75.47% this year. This significant improvement has propelled Karbi Anglong from its former 18th position to a more respectable 15th position in the list of high-performing districts.

Likewise, West Karbi Anglong has also witnessed a considerable upturn in HSLC results. The district's pass percentage has surged from 42.71% in the previous year to an encouraging 66.33% this year. This accomplishment has allowed West Karbi Anglong to ascend from its former 30th position to a more promising 26th position in the district rankings.

Attributing this progress to the government's tireless efforts in enhancing the educational landscape in the hill districts, a senior official from the school education department expressed his satisfaction. It is evident that the concerted endeavors to develop the education sector have yielded positive outcomes, as reflected in these improved HSLC results.
