Fire Incident at Numaligarh Refinery Limited in Assam Successfully Contained; No Injuries Recorded
Fire Breaks Out at Numaligarh Refinery in Assam's Golaghat District; No Casualties Reported
Golaghat, Assam: A fire incident occurred at the hydrocracker unit of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) in Assam's Golaghat district on Monday. Thankfully, there were no casualties or injuries reported, according to NRL spokesperson Madhuchanda Addhikari.

As soon as the fire broke out in Vessel VV-4 of the hydrocarbon unit at around 7:20 pm, the refinery's fire and safety department sprang into action. Firefighters promptly arrived at the scene and effectively brought the flames under control.

Kajal Saikia, General Manager (HR) of NRL, stated, "Our fire and safety department personnel acted swiftly to douse the flames. The fire is now under control, and there have been no reports of any casualties in the incident." Saikia further added that an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway, with preliminary findings currently under examination.

The prompt response and efficient firefighting efforts averted any potential harm to personnel or damage to the facility. NRL authorities are actively cooperating with the investigation to determine the root cause of the fire and prevent any such incidents in the future.

The safety and well-being of the refinery's employees and the surrounding community remain a top priority for Numaligarh Refinery Limited, which is taking all necessary measures to ensure a safe working environment.
